Procedural Atlas - Spine and Neurosurgery is a photographic atlas of common procedures related to the spine and brain. It is intended as a quick reference for neurosurgeons and orthopedic surgeons to learn and review surgical technique in a simple step-by-step format with illustrative photographs. The app also contains a note taking feature to document additional pearls learned as each procedure is practiced and repeated. Physician assistants, nurse practitioners and OR personnel will also find the pictorial review beneficial to become better acquainted with these common procedures. Patients undergoing spine and brain procedures can learn what is involved in these procedures including approximate incision location and size. This app will be continually updated with additional procedures.

Excellent buy for price!!!!
Was skeptical at first, but is a REALLY great app!! I especially like the images. I would def recommend this to any fellow Neurosurgeon, or Orthopod. PAs, and NPs will like the pictures and descriptions of the cases. Despite the medical terms and imaging, patients could actually learn a great deal about their the surgery they had or will have. Overall, Id say that the price is very reasonable for what you actually get.

Most of the portions to this app didnt open. There were several things I was interested in, and even though they are listed in the app, I couldnt view them.
Great app
Very useful app, great photographs and excellent explanations. There are many procedures included, from basic junior resident level procedures (EVDs) to very complex surgeries (iliac screws, intraventricular tumors). Recommended for everyone in the field.
Most procedures are greyed out
Of the procedures that ARE actually available, they are well documented with great step-by-step explanations.
That being said, most of the stuff in the app I would actually use / review before a case is greyed out and unavailable. Its not clear whether this is information that has yet to be uploaded (i.e. planned future / to-be-updated content) or if there is just something wrong with the app itself.
Hopefully this is corrected soon. Could be an incredibly useful app for the sub-intern or junior resident on the service.

Pathetic!!
Total waste of money even if it is only 2.99. You cannot access most articles and you cant navigate back and forward. Instrumentation instruction is excessively remedial. Id skip it!!!
